Message from the CEO

We actively leverage the SBI Group’s solutions and networks to provide innovative financial solutions to our investees.

We are a private equity investment firm that is part of the SBI Group.
We possess primarily the following characteristics: 1. We actively leverage the solutions and networks of the SBI Group, 2. Our core members have more than ten years of investment experience, and 3. We uniquely offer one-stop venture investment and buyout investment solutions.

We make venture investments using different approaches. Our flagship fund, Shinsei Venture Partners, invests in venture companies. We also collaborate with partners who identify and evaluate investment opportunities to establish and manage funds. Additionally, we support corporate venture capital (CVC) funds.

We have established and manage several funds with various partners. One of these is Femto Growth Capital, where we collaborate with Tetsuya Isozaki, a leading expert in venture finance. This fund focuses on investing in early-stage Internet companies. Additionally, we have gumi ventures, through which we invest in domestic and foreign smartphone content companies in collaboration with gumi Inc., which develops smartphone games. Another fund we manage is Cell Innovation Partners, which we manage with REPROCELL Inc., a listed public company that specializes in iPS cells. This fund invests in domestic and international companies that focus on iPS cells and regenerative medicine. We also manage the FreakOut Shinsei Fund in collaboration with FreakOut Holdings, inc., a listed company in the marketing technology sector. This fund targets investments in domestic and foreign IT ventures.

In the buyout investment business, we actively invest in companies that lack successors and need a business succession plan, as well as in companies looking for support to achieve further growth, including those considering an IPO. Our team, which consists of people from diverse backgrounds, offers hands-on support to facilitate successful business succession and foster corporate growth.

We manage funds in collaboration with the SERENDIP Group, which offers consulting services to manufacturers, and SHIKIGAKU., which specializes in organization consulting. These funds leverage the expertise and knowledge of external partners and provide support that distinguishes us from traditional investment funds. As a result, our services have received high praise.

We will work diligently with our investees and think creatively to assist them in the creation and development of businesses, leveraging our extensive knowledge and expertise which we have accumulated since 2002, including the knowledge and expertise of the Private Equity Department of Shinsei Bank (now SBI Shinsei Bank), and our small team’s strengths, speed and professionalism.
